The headline metric Live

# You are number one. You own a third of the screen.

Both sentences describe the same result page. Only one of them tells you what a searcher actually sees. Marley measures the share of the screen you actually hold — not your place in a list.

Why pixels and not positions

## A position is not a size.

An AI Overview can take 226 pixels of the first screen. A text ad takes 148. A shopping carousel can take the lot. Ranking treats all of them as one line in a list, which is why two brands can both “rank first” and see completely different pages.

The fold is the boundary

Marley measures to the fold, because that is the surface anyone actually sees. Everything below it is recorded and excluded from the number — which is why the figure moves when a competitor pushes you down without ever outranking you.

Measured, not estimated

Every figure comes from a rendered capture of the live page in that market, with the screenshot kept as evidence. A share figure you cannot show someone is an opinion.

Then it moves

## Rank never moved. The screen did.

A competitor entered the top ad slot on day 19. Your position in the list did not change; your share of the first screen dropped seven points. Measured this way, the day it happened is obvious.
